aliens not gov is an independent creative project. We collect the minimum data needed to run our newsletter and deliver the dossier. Here is exactly what happens and why.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended), EasyTask Design is the data controller of any personal data processed through this site.
2. What we collect

We do not use behavioural advertising trackers, third-party advertising cookies, or any social media tracking pixels.
3. Where your data goes
We use the following third-party processors. Each is GDPR-compliant and bound by a Data Processing Agreement.
- MailerLite (Lithuania, EU) - email list management and delivery. Privacy policy.
- Stripe (Ireland, EU branch) - payment processing for the full dossier purchase. Privacy policy.
- Vercel (USA, EU servers available) - website hosting. Privacy policy.
- CounterAPI - anonymous public counters (views, likes, ratings). No personal data sent.
Where data is transferred outside the EU, transfers are protected by the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
4. How long we keep it
- Email address: until you unsubscribe (every email contains an unsubscribe link). After unsubscribe, we keep your email on a suppression list to make sure we never email you again. You can request full deletion at any time.
- Payment records: 10 years, as required by Italian tax law.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Anonymous counters: aggregated, no expiry.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy: Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.

6. Cookies
This site uses only the following storage:
- localStorage - to remember your star rating so you do not vote twice. No personal data.
- sessionStorage - to count your visit only once per browsing session.
No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no social pixels. You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
8. Security
All data in transit is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Email addresses sit in MailerLite's GDPR-compliant infrastructure. Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified) and never touches our servers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. For material changes affecting your rights, we will notify you by email.
